Daniel 7: The United Kingdom
Daniel revisits the message of Daniel 2, where Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of an image that was Gold, silver, bronze, and clay. The message was that the Babylonian Kingdom and every subsequent kingdom will fall, whereas the kingdom of God will remain, an unshakable unbreakable Kingdom. Today we see a dream Daniel had, while Belshazzar was king. In effect we have gone back in time a bit. The dream is different but the meaning is the same, nations are falling, kingdoms will crumble, but there is a King that remains, and he is on his throne of power.
Today we are going to look at one of the most important messages we can learn, because the impact of this church depends upon us not just hearing todays word, but being doers of it. We talk a lot about the supernatural, Kingdom power, and today's message will be vital if we want to walk in this reality. Today we are going to look at unity…

I want us to lift the veil and begin to see with our spiritual eyes that there is a spiritual realm, that is more real than this. It is more vibrant, more colourful, that we can experience through our spiritual and physical senses. Most of the time we go around with our eyes shut unaware of what God is doing, saying, revealing, but God wants us to see, because he love s so much that he will use any means to reveal himself to people, and see them healed and set free. He needs a church that will see into the spiritual realm, and are able to partner with what God is doing. For some of you, that maybe through prophetic art, words or songs. For others it might be a thought, an encounter, an idea. For some it might be a vision, a dream, an impression. For still others you might see, smell, or even feel something. I have walked into rooms and smelt the presence of angels, I have been praying and seen Jesus turn up. I want to encourage us all that God will reveal himself to you in the way that you connect, it may look different to someone else, but all of us who have received the life of Jesus, have the privilege to see in to heaven and to work in the supernatural. ...

Chapter 10 in the Book of Daniel provides a rare passage in which the veil is lifted for the reader to see the unseen. These are realities we need to see and accept, allowing them to shape our perspective and our practice. As the veil is lifted may we, by God s grace, see, believe, and behave in a way consistent with the revealed truth. When we think of prophecy, many people think its a bit of mumbo jambo. Stick your ï¬nger in the air, and guess which way the wind is blowing. Yet prophecy is God's very will and word to us, that can unlock the realm of heaven to collide with earth. Prophecy is not just guessing or hedging your bets, but it is speciï¬c and purposeful, able to redirect the course of our lives for good. Today I want us to see how accurate prophecy is, that we are all able to speak prophetically over our lives, and our church, as well as others. Prophecy ultimately is the spirit of the Lord upon us, anointing us to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted and bring liberty to the captives. Being a Christian isn’t always easy… If we truly want to live for Christ - it costs, we need perseverance, we need to be willing to let go of our life, and as Jesus said - we need to loose our life, if we want to truly find his. I have been asking myself - What Kind of Christians is the church producing today? Are we anything like the picture God had in mind? We want to portray the true gospel, and see real authentic Christians being disciples and looking to make other disciples, who are willing to come and be a living sacrifice and whose delight is Jesus....

What it is to be free. Over the centuries people have fought for freedom - freedom of speech, freedom to vote, freedom to be. I think of the great Christian William Wilberforce - who fought to ban slavery, so that men and woman could be free. But there is something greater at stake here, something bigger than the earthly struggles we face, and that is eternal salvation, eternal freedom - this is the reason Jesus came - to give us life, Jesus came to cut us off from the power of sin, so we could stand right before God forever free....

Weakness is not often seen as a positive thing. If you call someone weak it would be seen as an insult, a slight on someones character, as not very nice. Yet the bible encourages us to be weak, because it is in our weakness that God can be strong (2 Cor 12v10)....
