Introduction:
Love is one of those strange words; it can mean so many different things. From liking something a little to being infatuated with something or someone. So its one of those often over used, or wrongly used words, that can often loose its meaning or significance. For example I love steak, and I also love Lucy my wife. Does that mean I have the same feeling for both steak and Lucy? No it means I really enjoy eating steak, I love the taste of it, but Lucy I actually do love her; I care for her, want the best for her, I want to prefer her over myself and my desires. I want to protect her and spend time with her, keep getting to know her. The love that I have for her is not dependant on what she does, or how she is. Even if she gets in a mood or says something to me that hurts me, that doesn’t cause me to stop loving her, or wanting to pursue her. Which is very different to steak, because I only love steak if its a good cut of steak and cooked well. My love of it is dependant on something, but true love, when we truly love someone its actually unconditional. We all need a love that keeps giving, pursuing, spending itself on behalf of someone else, whatever the cost, and regardless of the reward. Now that is the kind of love we are talking about, because that is the kind of love that God is made of.
Key Verse:
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
(1 Corinthians 13v7).
Some Thoughts:
Spend time tacking aspects of this chapter and asking yourself is that the kind of love I am showing to those around me regardless of who they are? If not what can you do so that you live every day in and with this love?

Being a Christian isn’t always easy… If we truly want to live for Christ - it costs, we need perseverance, we need to be willing to let go of our life, and as Jesus said - we need to loose our life, if we want to truly find his. I have been asking myself - What Kind of Christians is the church producing today? Are we anything like the picture God had in mind? We want to portray the true gospel, and see real authentic Christians being disciples and looking to make other disciples, who are willing to come and be a living sacrifice and whose delight is Jesus....

Have you ever gone though life wondering where God is? It might not be that is was particularly a bad time of life, but you just couldn’t really see what God was doing? This can often be the case both in the good, bad, but also normal parts of life. Have you ever then looked back over that time and as you have looked Suddenly God reveals to you what he was doing, and where he was? All of a sudden you see how God was fully in it?...
