Last week we looked at vision in general, and about how faith is at the bedrock of vision - believing in the truth of God over our experiences and not letting fear of others, failure etc stop us from moving forward. We looked at how to obtain and walk with vision - REST, RECEIVE, WRITE, RUN AND REMIND. Today we are looking at personal vision, what vision do you have for your life? How do you see yourself and how do you perceive others see you?- And if faith is the bedrock to walking in vision, then sacrifice is how we access it....

Introduction:The wisdom of God is very different from the world. In fact most people would think Christians are crazy to believe the things we do. It would be mad to put all our trust in God we cant see or touch - but is it? Maybe this is real wisdom.   Key Verse:For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God… And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1v18, 30-31).   Some Thoughts:By what standard and wisdom are we trying to live up to. Is your mind being renewed by the world thinking or the bible? How can you connect with the truth that you are completely new on the inside, so you can live a totally new way. How can we grasp this gospel truth, so that it becomes a reality?...

Stories from July We saw God make work provisions, various peopel testifying of healing and wholeness.  Our street team were able to pray and speak to a number of people who felt Gods presence with them.  During our first Mars Hill Mobile, a number of people passing by were impacted by God, and stopped to connect with us.  One of the children in the church shared how God healed her hearing.  God continues to move ordinarily extraordinarily, in the every day lives of people....

We have been spending each Friday night on the streets and God has moved in many different ways in the lives of people.  He has sent us to specific people to pray for, others we have stumbled across.  One man God gave us a word about his past and his future and he was impacted by Gods love - he said he felt different.  We have also seen healing in our Sunday services from an ancle condition to a boken elbow....

Healing can be quite a controversial but also emotive subject. We have all had both positive and negative experiences around this subject. All kinds of questions often surface; does God love? Is He good enough? Is He big enough? Does He pick and choose? Is it his will to heal? Why do some people get healed and others do not? What is the deal about healing? I want us to get real and vulnerable with this subject, but I also want us to apply biblical truth over any symptom, feeling or experience....

Baptism of Fire Introduction: We often use this term or another term like it - throwing someone in the deep end, so meaning that people aren't given much warning or training, but have to run with that they have been given. learning the hard way, being emerged in your work. For a soldier a baptism by fire would be the first time on the front line. As Christians we have been given a baptism of fire, and we cant afford to waste it…   Key Verse: “I baptise you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”(Matthew 3v11-12).   Some Thoughts: What does it mean to burn with Holy Spirit Love? To burn so bright that Jesus in you is unmissable to everyone one you meet. To live out the full gospel preaching Jesus and following it up with Signs and Wonders? How can we burn daily with Jesus love so that all fear goes, and we walk totally by faith where even mountains have to move?...

Holding on to Gods promises Introduction: When God speaks and gives us a vision or promise, it’s easy to lose sight of it with the busyness of life. When either life gets carried away or we face difficulties, the excitement of that vision can soon die away. Yet we need to remind ourselves of the promises God has spoken, write them down, make them plain, so we can persevere and run with them.   Key Verse: And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it (Habakkuk 2v2).   Some Thoughts: What lies or difficulties have stolen God’s word from you? How can you speak God’s truth into your life more? How can you live in the abundant life that Jesus has promised so that the visions God has given you come into being?...

Introduction There is a huge craze sweeping the digital world and that is Pokemon Go. If you haven't seen it, its a game where you go about looking for characters called Pokemon and try and catch them. You can have all sorts of games and battles, but the big idea is to get people out of their houses and mingling with other people. So If Jesus played Pokemon Go what could we learn from him? Would it be a tool to connect with more people? In Jesus we see how he was able to culturally connect with people without compromise; he brought the reality of the love of God to every area of society.   Key Verse For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).   Some Thoughts How can we live in the world, but not become like it, to be transformed but not conform? What does it mean to live in the world culturally connecting with those around us, whilst not compromising on Jesus or His Gospel?  ...

Stories from April: In April we have seen God move in many ways, here are some of the stories to encourage and inspire you that God is powerfully at work today:   A lady with cancer was healed and given the all clear.   A lady with poor eye sight has had her eyes restored.   A child with poor sleeping patterns, is now sleeping well....

This chapter by many preachers and scholars has been named as un-preachable. They say that there is nothing in it, except a collection of kings and wars, and at best we can only give an historic account of what happened over the years from Daniel's time. Today I believe God wants to show us something so foundational to our walk with Him, that I pray the Holy spirit will make it plain to our hearts. Through this complicate passage I hope to simplify our faith… ...
