The Bible tells us to taste and see that the Lord is Good. It gives us the encouragement that if we read the bible through the inspiration of the Holy spirit it becomes like food to our souls - it does us good. Soul Food is therefore our weekly mediation, an opportunity for us to read and allow Scripture, the bible, to become part of our lives. So we encourage you to read or listen, ask questions and apply to your life. Please tune in each week and Nourish Your Soul…   ...

Why Mobile Mars? The church, in general, is in danger of loosing what set it apart in the first place; People overwhelmed by the love of God, totally devoted to Jesus, living in community together reaching out to a world with the love, power and presence of God. Many people think the church is outdated and not relevant to today - and most often what they mean by that is how churches conduct their Sunday services. Churches are trying to soften the musical worship times, reduce preaching slots, thinking people wont connect because its not relevant. They try and think of new ways of presenting Jesus, the church and services and call it things like fresh expressions. But are they really workin...

An Army not and Audience Being a Christian is not a passive lifestyle, its not a crutch or a pathway to an easy and lazy life. Being a Christian is meant to be something that is challenging, life changing; people with a purpose, intent on seeing the mission and vision of God realised in the community we live in. The church is Gods only plan for reaching the world with his love by the life of Jesus through the power of the Spirit. There is no other plan, God has put all his eggs in one basket and that is his church; everyone who truly is a follower of Jesus. I read this week a small phrase which has stayed with me and it is this; we must build an army not an audience. Yet the church can beco...

God Knows You We can often point to a time when we realised God was real, for many Christians this is a turning point in their lives. We have a sense of what life used to be and what life is now. I also know many people who have grown up in the faith and feel that they can't point to one of these times, but I would encourage you to think back to the time when you made the decision to have your own faith and not live off the faith of others because these points are significant for us, they will help us to carry on in our faith when times get tough. They will remind us, constantly, of the impact that God's love and power can make in someone's life.   One thing that has really struck me...

The EU Referendum - Babylon, Babel, and the Beast Introduction: We are fast approaching voting day, where we as a nation need to decide whether we are in or out of the European Union. As this time has drawn near more and more information has come out about whether we should stay or go; political and economic battle lines have been drawn by all parties involved. Within this mix the Christian voice has also been raised, with a warning cry about the European union and how this may relate to biblical prophecy. My intention for this blog is not to make any political statement, or tell you which way to vote, but to address the spiritual views made by some christians on the European union and to ...

Expectantly waiting...

Expectantly Waiting... Waiting isn't something that we're very good at, generally speaking. In many ways we live in a society that doesn't need to wait anymore - many shops are open 24/7, we can do banking on our phones or on the internet at any time of day, we can talk to people instantly through messages. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's quite nice to be able to go shopping in the middle of the night if you realise you don't have something you urgently need - but this does have an affect on our ability to wait. My girls both have birthdays coming up in the next few weeks and all we've heard in the build up is "I can't wait." The reality is they can wait... but they are waiting wi...
