Rick Hoyt has competed in over 1000 races including 250 triathlons, and 75 marathons. This is pretty impressive, but even more so as he has been a quadriplegic from birth. Ricks father swims pulling his son 21/2 miles in a dinghy. He cycles 100 miles while rick sits in a seat on the front of the bike. He then transfers Rick to a wheel chair where he runs 26 miles completing the triathlon.  
On his own rick cannot even walk, but with the help of his father he competes alongside some of the strongest athletes. The book of Acts is just like the Story of Rick. Its a story about ordinary people and their extraordinary God. Luke wants us to see that a ragtag bunch of nobodies, when empowered by a supernatural God, can turn the world upside down!
