Exodus 14 - It's Time To Die!

Posted by Mars Hill Blog on 6th September 2015 in Exodus | Exodus, Seeing, believing, miracle, supernatural, slavery, freedom, Jesus, Kingdom
God wants us to die... He wants us to die to ourselves, so that Jesus becomes the focus not us or our preferences. Jesus said unless a grain of what falls to the ground and dies, it cannot bear fruit (John 12v24-26). When Jesus died the enemy thought he had won, it looked like he had lost, it looked like the end. But Jesus death was where he was most victorious, it was his death that brought the most life, it was his death that brought the victory over Satan, sin and death, and so we need to die, so that only Jesus is left. We see today that the Israelites face there enemy head on and through the waters of the red sea they come into victory. Through crossing th...

Where's Jesus?

Posted by Mars Hill Blog on 12th December 2016 in General Topics | where's jesus
If you have ever seen the book where’s Wally, you will know its basically a book with different pictures in, and the pictures are super crowded and you have to find this guy called Wally in it. He is wearing a red and white stripy hat, jumper and scarf and he wears glasses. To make it even more difficult they put other people in that look similar to Wally. Sometimes life can be like that, Jesus is there but we just cant see him; he is hidden in the crowd, noise and busyness of life. When you are school and the people around you are giving you a hard time - where is Jesus? You loose your job - where is Jesus? You are having trouble with a loved one - where i...

Exodus 26: God's House

Posted by Mars Hill Blog on 21st February 2016 in Exodus | Exodus,God's House,Temple of the Holy Spirit
God wants us to pursue an intimate love relationship with His people. He will not end that pursuit until He has accomplished His eternal purpose in our lives. From Genesis to Revelation, we can see God progressively moving closer and closer to the heart of humanity. We hear God walking with Adam in the late afternoon in Genesis. He also walked with Enoch, talked to Abraham, communed with Moses and the prophets. GOD’S PLAN IS AND ALWAYS WAS TO BE AMONG HIS PEOPLE.   Key Verse: ‘…..do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. 1 C...

What Manner of Man?

Posted by Mars Hill Blog on 1st May 2016 in If Jesus Series | Jesus, man, discipleship, disciples,God,holy spirit
There was a famous song released in 1995 and it went something like this:  What if God was one of us, Just a slob like one of us, Just a stranger on the bus. Trying to make His way home? If God had a face, what would it look like? And would you want to see? If seeing meant that you would have to believe In things like heaven and in Jesus and the saints and all the prophets? Ironically God did become one of us and turned up in the dusty towns of Galilee. He had a face, hands, body and legs, he would have sweated, struggled with B.O., got tired, and had relationship struggles. He worked in his dads business as a carpenter, and went with his fa...

The EU Referendum - Babylon, Babel, and the Beast

Posted by Mars Hill Elders on 12th June 2016 in Religion & Spirituality | EU,babel, babylon, beast, end times, kingdom, jesus,God,authority, church
...rists and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. (Matt 24v23-24). I have seen many emails and meetings inviting people to gatherings to talk about the Europe Union and the beast. Although I'm not saying this is wrong, lets stop talking about the beast, and start telling people about Jesus! What next? My advice for the European referendum is to pray and ask God how you should vote, what does he want you to do, and then be obedient to it. Don't get too distracted about Babylon, Babel and the beast, but get caught up in Jesus and his mission, because ultimately Jesus has already won. Then...

Soul Food - If Jesus... was God?

Posted by Mars Hill Church on 9th May 2016 in Meditation | soul food,if jesus,if jesus was god, deity of christ
...Introduction: Many people, religions and faith backgrounds have many things to say about Jesus. He was a good man, a prophet, an angel, a type of god or demi god, but who do you believe Jesus was and is? Was he more than these things, does the bible teach us that he really was God? We Can’t start a series about Jesus without looking at his divinity ?rst. What if Jesus was God?   Key Verse: Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”...
