Introduction
The Church, in general, is in danger of loosing what set it apart in the first place; People overwhelmed by the love of God, totally devoted to Jesus, living in community together reaching out to a world with the love, power and presence of God.
Many people think the Church is outdated and not relevant to today - from the Sunday service to the mid week meetings - many people are trying to find new ways of doing things - fresh expressions. This can often involve Churches trying to soften the musical worship times, reduce preaching slots, thinking people wont connect because it is not relevant. The Church of today is looking just like the world - I have pet chameleons, and Chameleon are able to shift their cells under their skin to change colour, to blend into the background, so they can’t be seen. Introduction:So today lets get real about relationships; all kinds of relationships; friends, dating, marriages, kids - the whole lot because I believe there are general principles that flow between them all. In todays culture there is a real blurring of edges, particularly linked to relationships and particularly marriage, sex and sexuality. So I want to be real with you today, challenge some of these world mindsets that try to creep into the Church, whilst also giving biblical insight on how we can all be better friends and build better relationship, both inside and outside the Church.
