Micah our youngest use to have a favourite phrase every time his older brother or sister tried to boss him around or tell him what to do. He would say ‘You’re not the boss of me’. Unfortunately it crept into his reply to me and Lucy when he didn’t want to do something we asked of him. Inherently we don’t always like the idea of someone telling us what to do. Some of us are better depending on our personalities, but everyone whether we realise it or not find ourselves pushing against authority. And even that word for some sends shudders down your spine. The word Authority isn’t liked, yes the bible is full of this concept of authority and submission...

I remember as a kid being out with my best mate. We were a fair way from home, near the woods and wild area we used to play in, when a storm suddenly hit us: it was as if someone threw a black blanket over the sky while turning on the turbos of a jet engine. The wind suddenly kicked up, the sky went black, then the thunder and lightning was out of this world: it was as if your head was inside a drum. My mate froze in fear - he was absolutely petrified. He didn’t know what to do, but he knew he wanted to get home to safety.
